Judy Groves grew up in Southwest Iowa.  Just as most children, she expressed herself through art before learning to write.

Besides teachig oil painting for eighteen years, she has been awarded ribbons in many shows.  Among those are Southwest Iowa Artist Association; Two Best of Show ribbons in the Omaha Artists Association (Spring and Winter) shows.  The last three years her work has been selected for the ANAC (Association of nebraska Art Clubs) shows.  Judy has had work selected for the "Wings Over the Platte" art shows at the Stuhr Museum. 

China painting is another of her interests.  She was also chosen to complete a fiberglass J-Doe in a recent Omaha Public Arts Project.
